Mt. Bromo
This was the view as we started up the side of Mt. Bromo. This region, in Eastern Java, consists of several active volcanos, Bromo being one. The hills you see here are part of a gigantic crater which was formed by an ancient volcano that blew its top. What's left is this ring of mountains forming a giant crater with Bromo and two other mountains in the middle (where we're standing). The flat stuff on the bottom is called the Sea of Sand and forms the bottom of the large crater.
